Chief Executive Officer

We are seeking an exceptional leader to drive the strategic direction of our organization, ensuring its continued influence and member focus. As Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for delivering the Council's priorities and representing members' interests at the highest level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a long-term strategy that reflects the evolving needs of members, legal reform, and public policy landscapes.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, regulatory authorities, and other organizations.
  • Talent Management: Lead, support, and motivate the executive staff, inspiring their commitment to and delivery of the organization's overarching aims and objectives.
  • Culture Development: Instil a culture of professionalism and inclusion within the organization.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leadership roles, with direct involvement in managing diverse services, ideally those related to the delivery of professional services and/or in a membership organization. They will be capable of thinking strategically whilst maintaining a pragmatic perspective and political sense.

Requirements:
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leading professional organizations at senior level.
  • Strategic Vision: Strong strategic vision with the ability to connect others to a vision and enthuse them to deliver on it.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse groups, including members, policymakers, and the media.
