Key Responsibilities

The role of a Fund Onboarding Specialist involves ensuring that the onboarding process is executed efficiently and effectively. This includes leading new fund projects, coordinating with internal teams such as Legal, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Operations, and managing stakeholder expectations.

  • Manage the onboarding process for new funds, adhering to established timelines and risk parameters.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the onboarding process, fostering open communication and collaboration with internal teams.
  • Present new clients to approval committees and boards, handling queries and ensuring successful sign-off.
  • Coordinate project calls and stakeholder meetings, driving progress and achieving key milestones.
  • Nurture relationships with external partners, including administrators, depositaries, investment managers, and distributors, to align on processes and service delivery.
  • Represent the organization during client site visits and contribute to the ongoing improvement of onboarding processes.
Requirements:

To excel in this position, you will require:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years' experience in fund onboarding, fund implementation, or client relationship management within the financial industry.
  • A proven track record of engaging with clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-party initiatives.
  • Confident communication skills, with experience presenting to committees or boards.
  • A solid understanding of UCITS and AIF structures; familiarity with management company structures is advantageous.
  • Fluent English language proficiency; additional languages such as French, German, or Mandarin are highly desirable.
