Key Role Summary

A Director is needed to lead the development and execution of communications supporting Global Quality Organization and Global Supply Organization. This role will help champion a culture of quality at operations sites and deliver communications that inspire, connect, and reinforce the critical role these functions play in Viatris' success.

Job Description

The Director, Global Operations Communications, will be a key member of the Global Communications and Corporate Brand team. The primary responsibility is to develop and execute communication strategies that promote a culture of quality, safety, compliance, and customer service across global operations.

  • Drive strategic operations communications by developing and executing communication plans that align with business objectives.
  • Develop executive and leader communications to engage, inform, and influence stakeholders.
  • Enhance employee engagement and communication effectiveness by leading the development of an Operations Communications Council.
  • Lead change and organizational communications to support restructuring activities, divestitures, and integrations.
  • Prepare for and manage issues to minimize disruptions and maintain stakeholder trust.
  • Support external communications by advising on industry trends and their impact on internal and external messaging.
  • Measure impact and drive continuous improvement through data-driven decision-making.

This role reports to the Head of Global Commercial, R&D, and Operations Communications and serves as a strategic advisor to the broader Corporate Affairs team.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in communication or a related field.
  • Extensive experience within a pharmaceutical organization.
  • Proven ability to lead communications around sensitive and high-impact operational matters.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Innovative communication skills to engage manufacturing audiences.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced and complex environment.
