Senior Trainee Manager Job

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic individual to develop their retail skills in a busy and vibrant supermarket group based in Munster, Ireland.

  • As a Senior Trainee Manager, you will have the chance to refine your retail skills through on-the-job training and mentorship from experienced professionals.
  • You will be responsible for managing compliance, maintaining high standards across a large retail premises, driving sales, controlling stock levels, and enhancing customer experience.
  • You will also be involved in people management, developing and coaching teams, learning more about performance management, conflict resolution, and motivating colleagues.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, be able to work within a team and on their own initiative, and possess a passion for grocery retail and working with the general public.

Responsibilities:
  • Shop minding: ensuring the store runs smoothly and maintaining standards while managing the store on your own during morning or closing shifts.
  • Driving sales: controlling stock levels, managing promotional change overs, and ensuring profit margins are at target.
  • People management: developing and coaching teams, learning more about performance management, conflict resolution, and motivating colleagues.
  • KPI and target management: enhancing commercial acumen of how the shop makes money, controls costs effectively, and drives productivity.
  • Customer service: enhancing customer experience through training, resolving complaints, and training teams under you to obtain further knowledge in the industry.
