Key Roles and Responsibilities

Senior People Relations Partner is responsible for delivering consistent and compliant consultation to HR Business Partners, leaders, and managers. The role aims to successfully resolve team member conflict, facilitate disciplinary actions, and process terminations in adherence with applicable laws and company policies.

The Senior People Relations Partner conducts thorough investigations to ensure issues are resolved in a fair and timely manner. This involves managing resolutions to completion in partnership with management and HR Business Partners. Additionally, the position acts as the compliance specialist working between Legal and HR to minimize liability and ensure respectful offboarding.

Responsibilities Overview
  • Provide tactical team member relations consultation to managers and team members to resolve issues and advise on conflict resolution, disciplinary action, and/or termination in adherence with local, state, federal, and international laws and regulations.
  • Manage all terminations for all worker types, including handoffs of disciplinary issues and performance issues to result in involuntary terminations from HR Business Partners and managers or voluntary resignations.
  • Oversee the offboarding process to initiate workflows and form triggers to fully process all termination types for all worker types.
  • Serve as the involuntary termination expert to ensure compliant terminations across countries and worker types, including negotiations, notifications, and documentation.
  • Conduct HR-related investigations to resolve issues in line with company policies and applicable regulations, and provide recommendations to management and HR Business Partners.
  • Monitor team member relations trends and aid management in addressing these trends proactively by analyzing and interpreting data.
  • Liaise with Legal, People Operations, HR Experience, Payroll, HR Business Partners, and People Success to build processes that support compliant conflict resolution and terminations.
  • Oversee Jira and other tools for compliance reporting related to team member relations issues, conflicts, investigations, policy compliance, or terminations.
  • Create standard operating procedures for investigations to ensure fair, neutral, and timely investigations in accordance with laws and company policies.
  • Partner with People Success to create and deliver guidance and training to managers on handling team member relations matters, policy interpretation, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and compliant termination guidance.
