Job Title: Social Care Worker - Residents Services

This role is designed to enhance the lives of residents in a care setting.

The Social Care Worker will work effectively with all staff directly involved with the residents to deliver high-quality education, training, development, and care in line with organisational policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain relationships with service users based on equality and respect.
  • Establish and maintain compliance with organisational policies, procedures, national policies, legislation, and HIQA standards.
  • Report regularly to the Person in Charge on effective operation in their work location.
  • Support the Person in Charge to ensure high-quality care in accordance with HIQA standards.
  • Ensure a safe and effective work and living environment.
  • Supervise or support service users to carry out activities as required.
  • Promote active participation of family and friends in social activities both inside and outside the house.
  • Maintain full communication with families and those supporting and caring for service users.
Requirements:
  • CORU approved Level 7 Degree in Social Care or currently registering with CORU.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to improving the lives of service users.
  • Show ability to work independently.
  • Experience working with people with complex needs.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • High initiative and integrity.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and HIQA standards.
  • Excellent IT and report writing skills.
