Senior Category Manager Position

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team and drive growth across various product areas, strengthening supplier relationships and ensuring the business delivers value and innovation.

The Role

You will play a pivotal role in driving business success by combining strategic oversight with hands-on commercial management. Your responsibilities will include growing established hardware and showroom categories while expanding into new areas such as Garden, Lifestyle, and Electrical.

  • Growing existing product ranges and introducing new ones to increase sales and profitability.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Leading the development of promotional strategies to drive foot traffic and customer engagement.
  • Coaching and developing your team to foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled professional with a proven track record in category management and leadership. Key qualifications include:

  • At least 10 years' experience in buying, category management, and delivering profitability.
  • A degree in business, supply chain management, or related field.
  • Proven success in leading teams within a fast-paced retail or distribution environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving favorable supplier terms.
