About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Global Payroll Operations Manager to join our Galway site on a permanent basis. This role reports to the Associate Finance Director and leads a team of payroll specialists.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality payroll services to our 4,000 employees, ensuring efficient, timely, and compliant payroll processing. They will also lead end-to-end process reviews, automate reporting, and partner with our payroll software provider to optimize software use.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of payroll specialists to deliver high-quality payroll services
  • Ensure efficient, timely, and compliant payroll processing
  • Review and sign-off on payroll in line with company policy and best practices
  • Partner with our payroll software provider to optimize software use
  • Automate reporting and ensure compliance with GDPR
  • Develop metrics to monitor payroll process efficiency and share insights with site leadership
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 8 Bachelor's Degree (240 credits) in a relevant field, such as Commerce or Accounting
  • In-depth knowledge of Irish employment tax and payroll legislation
  • Experience running payroll services for a similar scale company with a passion for customer service
  • Proven ability to work and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders
  • Proven track record of leading and developing teams
  • Proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements
