Technology Procurement Specialist Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Technology Procurement Specialist to join our team. This role will involve managing procurement processes for technology projects, ensuring compliance with EU directives and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead tendering processes for technology projects.
  • Promote sustainability throughout procurement activities.
  • Conduct investment appraisals to support procurement decisions.
  • Manage mini-tender competitions and justify procurement decisions.
  • Oversee contract management for IT projects.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with end users.
  • Ensure compliance with the Public Spending Code and manage KPIs.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with stakeholders to align on goals.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum Level 6 qualification in Public Procurement.
  • At least 3 years' experience in public procurement, ideally in the utilities sector under EU directive 2014/25/EU.
  • Strong understanding of various tendering procedures.
  • Commercial acumen and ability to deliver value for money.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience supporting School Transport Tenders is a plus.
