Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to fill the role of Personal Assistant in our organization. This is a permanent part-time position, working 20 hours per week with potential for relief and more hours to build up your roster.

The ideal candidate will be available Monday to Friday, 9am – 4pm, and will have access to their own car as this will be required for the role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assistance to Members in one or more areas such as personal care, domestic assistance, social and educational assistance, travel and companionship.
  • Work closely with other Home Carers and maintain close communication with the ALS Coordinator / Scheduling staff to ensure effective implementation of the role.
Liaison and Communication
  • Foster and develop key relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the role.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • A minimum of 5 modules completed at QQI Level 5 in either Community Health Services, Health Service Skills or Healthcare Support, or a relevant qualification.
  • Experience of working with people in a caring role is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a good level of spoken and written English.
  • Reliability, trustworthiness, and the ability to maintain confidentiality are also essential.
What We Offer
  • A competitive hourly rate of €15.39 – €17.12 per hour, depending on experience, with opportunities for increases over time.
