Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Family Support Specialist to join our team in the Dublin Mid Leinster region. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality family support services to children, young people, and families.

About the Role

The Family Support Specialist will work closely with families to identify their needs and develop tailored support plans. They will also provide guidance and coaching to help families build on their strengths and overcome challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • To assess and manage cases of child abuse and neglect, providing emotional support to those affected.
  • To develop and implement care plans that promote the welfare and well-being of children and young people.
  • To build strong relationships with families, helping them access local resources and services.
Requirements
  • Degree in Social Work or related field, with significant experience in family support.
  • Qualifications in Counselling or Family Therapy an advantage.
  • Minimum 2 years post-qual experience in a relevant setting, preferably working with vulnerable populations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting deadlines.
