Family Support Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Specialist to join our team in Dublin West. As a key member of our Cherry Orchard Family Support service, you will play a vital role in delivering impactful services that make a difference to the lives of children and families across Ireland.

Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement programmes that respond to the needs of children and families referred to the service. This will involve assessing individual and group needs, planning, implementing, and reviewing programmes accordingly.

In this dynamic and rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with children, young people, carers, and families, providing tailored support and guidance to meet their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of children and family needs
  • Design and implement programme interventions to address identified needs
  • Liaise effectively with families, statutory bodies, and community partners to ensure seamless delivery of support services
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of programme progress and outcomes

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience working with vulnerable children and families
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with families, carers, and other stakeholders
  • Strong programme planning, implementation, and review skills
