Social Care Project Worker: Family Support

The role of a social care project worker is to provide family support services that make a difference for families in their local communities.

This position requires an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is passionate about helping children, young people and their families. Our team delivers effective and impactful services that improve wellbeing and relationships.

We work with children, young people and families to develop constructive relationships, effective communication and common advocacy. Services are available Monday to Friday.

  • Family support workers will work directly with families by implementing processes and programmes that respond to their needs.
  • They will be responsible for assessing needs, planning, implementing and reviewing interventions and their outcomes.
  • They will work with children, young people and their families in various ways including individual, family and group work, centre based and outreach work.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessing and responding to the needs of families in the community.
  • Implementing and reviewing interventions and their outcomes.
  • Working collaboratively with families and other statutory, voluntary and community bodies.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years experience working with children, young people and families.
  • Experience of planning, implementing and reviewing individual interventions and programmes.
  • A commitment to best practice and innovative approaches.
  • An understanding of family dynamics, youth mental health and substance misuse.
