Job Description

The Senior Buyer is a skilled professional responsible for direct material procurement and inventory management across multiple manufacturing sites. This role ensures timely, cost-effective material availability and supports plant-specific procurement needs with responsiveness and precision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee MRP-based procurement for multiple manufacturing sites, ensuring accurate and timely orders aligned with production schedules.
  • Monitor demand signals to avoid shortages and adjust procurement activity as needed.
  • Use historical trends and current forecasts to make informed, proactive adjustments to supply plans.
  • Apply data insights to improve material availability and procurement strategies.
  • Ensure accuracy and efficiency across the full procure-to-pay cycle, from requisition through payment.

This position requires experience in sourcing and managing materials for production environments, with a focus on meeting quality, cost, and lead-time targets.


Required Skills and Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent in supply chain or operations management.

· 2+ years of experience in business, preferably supporting multi-site or shared service environments.

· Strong analytical skills to support planning and procurement decisions.

· Deep understanding of procure-to-pay processes and procurement efficiency.

· Experience sourcing materials for production with cost and quality focus.

· Ability to work across cultures, especially between U.S. and Ireland.

· Embraces change, new technologies, and evolving customer expectations.

· Strong critical thinking and multitasking abilities.

· Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.

· Skilled in prioritizing and collaborating under pressure in a centralized model.
