The Opportunity

Several opportunities exist for Senior Engineers across our Transformation and Technology team. These roles require innovative engineers who are solution-focussed, resilient, and motivated, ensuring operational excellence and transition to a low carbon energy future.

The Teams

The Transformation and Technology Office comprises highly skilled professionals from various disciplines, including engineering, IT, commerce, and policy. Our Future Networks and Offshore Strategic Planning Team plans the power system and market of the future, working collaboratively across our organisation and with stakeholders to transform the power system.

Our Future Operations Function leads the programme for putting in place what is needed to operate the power system in 2030, responsible for developing scenarios, options, and optimum pathways to realise our operational ambition. Our Power System Insights and Research Function drives our Innovation & Research strategy, carrying out research and providing insights into technologies and trends essential for transitioning to a low carbon energy future.

About You

We value experts with a passion for their work and who continuously seek personal and professional development. Successful candidates will have some or all of the following:

  • Hold an engineering degree with 4 years relevant experience.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of power system planning and operation principles, including wholesale power markets and market arrangements.
  • Experience in conducting power system analysis using tools such as PSS/E, DSA Tools, or Plexos.
  • Strong analysis, judgement, and problem-solving skills along with decision-making abilities in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills, commercial awareness, and results-driven track record.
