Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Installation Specialist to join our dynamic team. If you have a strong background in mechanical installations, particularly HVAC and pipework systems, and are looking for an exciting opportunity to further your career, this role is for you.

The successful candidate will oversee and manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Liaising with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors will be essential to ensure smooth project progression. Supervising and coordinating the work of the on-site workforce, ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained, is also a key responsibility.

Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards at all times, performing quality control inspections, and resolving any issues or discrepancies are other critical duties of the role.

Coordinating the delivery of materials and equipment to the site and managing logistics, providing technical support and guidance on the installation of HVAC and pipework systems, reviewing and interpreting technical drawings and specifications, and reporting on progress, issues, and any delays to the project manager or senior site management team are also key aspects of the job.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • A proven track record as a Site Engineer, with a focus on HVAC and pipework mechanical installation.
  • A strong understanding of mechanical installation techniques and systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly in construction and mechanical installation projects.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams and liaise with clients.
  • Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent) preferred.
  • Previous experience with commercial and industrial HVAC systems would be a significant advantage.
