About Us

We are a luxury hotel that offers exceptional food, service, and accommodations in a 26-bedroom country house with breathtaking gardens and grounds.

Our property features two restaurants, a fine dining restaurant catering for up to 90 guests and 40 weddings annually, and The Duck Restaurant in our courtyard.

Situated just outside Gorey, Co. Wexford, we are mere miles from the beach and an hour's drive south of Dublin on the N11.

Job Description
  • We are seeking an experienced Hotel Accountant to join our team.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our financial operations, including reconciliations, supplier payments, and payroll processing.
Responsibilities:
  1. Selling rooms, taking restaurant reservations, confirming bookings, loading reservations onto our system, hotel website reservations, and commission payments.
  2. Reconciling cash and lodgings, checking guest in and out, welcoming and attending to guests' needs.
  3. Loading rates and packages onto online booking systems, managing online sales.
  4. Processing supplier invoices through HubDoc and payments.
  5. Reconciling supplier balances at the end of each month and bank transactions via Xero.
  6. Monitoring cash and credit card balances for weekly reconciliation and ensuring daily takings are reconciled and agreed with accounts.
  7. Completing payroll processing (Sage Payroll) and gratuity allocation bi-weekly.
  8. Tracking and reporting revenue and costs.
  9. Providing timely reports on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  10. Assisting in the timely filing of revenue returns, including VAT and PAYE.
  11. Supporting end-of-year audits, working closely with auditors.
  12. Preparation of quarterly and monthly accounts, including profit and loss statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
Requirements:
  • Experience in financial management, preferably in a hospitality or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial software and systems.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
