Hotel Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced hotel accountant to join our team. As a hotel accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our hotel, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage financial data, including accounting records, ledgers, and journals
  • Prepare and submit financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions
  • Process supplier invoices and payments
  • Monitor cash and credit card balances to ensure accuracy
  • Complete payroll processing and gratuity allocation
  • Track and report revenue and costs
  • Prepare quarterly and monthly accounts, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of experience in hotel accounting or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
