
Maintenance Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with general maintenance tasks, repairs, and upkeep of our facilities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trade skills and handyman services, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role. They should also possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work independently when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with general maintenance tasks, repairs, and upkeep of facilities
- Perform basic plumbing issues, e.g., unclog drains
- Carry out painting, installation, and repair of cabinets, shelves, and other equipment
- Install and repair key locks and hardware
- Repair furniture and maintain carpark and its payment stations
- Collect and deliver clinical waste and laundry
- Deliver bottled medical gases to departments
- Provide on-call support to the facility (one week every six weeks)
- Attend all necessary training provided by the facility
- Report for duty on time
- Take direction from the Manager and Team Lead
- Facilitate good relations at all times
- Recognize the needs and importance of patients and fellow employees
- Adhere to the prescribed dress code and PPE
- Be familiar with the facility's Health & Safety procedures
- Take all necessary steps to ensure the maximum security of the working area and all equipment and supplies contained therein
- Identify hazards and assess risk and report same
- Adhere to the facility's infection control policy
- Wear the provided appropriate PPE
- Participate in all health and safety training programs
- Comply with and adhere to all policies and procedures of the facility
Requirements:
- Proficient knowledge of trade and handyman skills
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in this or a related role
- Hospital experience is preferred
- Ability to perform general maintenance on buildings and equipment
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools where necessary
- Knowledge of appropriate safety systems and procedures
- PC skills
- Good standard of the English language both oral and written
- Discretion
- Ability to work on their own initiative
- Ability to interact with people at all levels
- Ability to work as part of a team or alone
