Job Description

The role of Environmental Advisor is a key position within the organization, focused on ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

This permanent opportunity offers a stable and supportive setting with long-term career prospects. You will be based in Belfast and work on a Monday to Friday schedule.

The ideal candidate will possess a primary degree in an environmental or related field, as well as knowledge and experience of environmental permitting and consent requirements, ISO14001 Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and environmental auditing.

Responsibilities include managing and developing the EMS, ensuring compliance with environmental obligations, overseeing waste management activities, assessing potential environmental impacts, and implementing solutions for continuous improvement.

You will also maintain systems to track environmental performance data, prepare professional reports, and manage contractor environmental evaluations and compliance arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and develop the ISO14001 Environmental Management System (EMS)
  • Ensure compliance with PPC permits, discharge consents, and other environmental obligations
  • Oversee and coordinate waste management activities
  • Assess potential environmental impacts of site and contractor activities
  • Identify and implement solutions to maintain compliance and drive continuous environmental improvement
