Accommodation Leadership Role

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our renowned accommodation team at Fota Island Resort. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the efficient running of the Accommodation department, ensuring guest care and comfort are delivered.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in managing a hotel Accommodation department, with working knowledge of cloud-based property management systems or equivalent. Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to influence change.

You will be responsible for managing operating costs within the accommodation department, as well as ensuring that procedures, standards of practice, and systems are in place across the department.

A high level of leadership and interpersonal skills is required to effectively manage and motivate the team to achieve a high level of performance and customer service. The role also requires excellent grooming and presentation.

  • Manage operating costs within the accommodation department
  • Ensure procedures, standards of practice, and systems are in place across the Accommodation department
  • Conduct daily inspections and co-ordinate work schedules in all areas
  • Establish & maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in all guest bedrooms and public areas front and heart of house

Requirements
  • Previous experience in managing a hotel Accommodation department
  • Working knowledge of cloud-based property management systems or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to influence change
  • Experience with report writing, emailing, compiling rosters and training plans, basic payroll administration, labor cost management, and ordering
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Fluent English
  • Excellent grooming and presentation
  • 3rd level Hospitality Diploma or equivalent (desirable but not essential)
