Lead Early Years Educator

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Lead Early Years Educator. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of early years educators, developing and implementing educational programs, and ensuring the highest standards of care and education are met.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Management:
    • Lead a team of early years educators in delivering high-quality education and care to children.
    • Develop and implement educational programs that meet the needs of children and align with regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development.
  • Educational Programs:
    • Develop and implement engaging and challenging educational programs that promote children's learning and development.
    • Work closely with other staff members to ensure consistency and quality across all areas of the service.
    • Ensure that all aspects of the curriculum are covered and that children are provided with opportunities for learning and development.
  • Care and Support:
    • Provide high-quality care and support to children, including planning and implementing activities that meet their individual needs.
    • Work collaboratively with parents and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the quality of education and care provided.
    • Participate in ongoing professional development to maintain currency of knowledge and skills.

Requirements

  • Qualifications:
    • Fetac Level 6 (or recognised equivalent) in Early Childhood Education.
    • LINC qualification preferred.
  • Experience:
    • At least 1 year of experience in a similar early years leadership role.
  • Skills:
    • Leadership and management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
    • Strong organisational and time management skills.
