The role of Finance Officer involves managing the financial operations of an organisation. This position requires a skilled accounting professional who can work effectively with the finance team to ensure the smooth operation of the finance function.

  • Preparation and management of the organisation's RCT and VAT on Capital Projects: The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and management of the organisation's RCT and VAT on Capital Projects.
  • Creditor Ledger Management: The Finance Officer will support the management of the creditors Ledger, ensuring accurate recording of expenditure against cost headings and Programme Budgets, and apportionment of Shared Costs across programmes, and preparing journals for sign-off and posting to nominal ledger as appropriate.
  • Debtor Ledger Management: Support the managing of the debtors Ledger, ensuring entering of income received – fundraising and rental income.
  • Returns to Revenue Preparation: Prepare Returns to Revenue for review by the Accountant/Head of Finance. To Include VAT, RCT and Charity Claims.
  • Petty Cash and Soldo Cashcards Reconciliation: Assist with the review and monthly reconciliation of Petty Cash and Soldo Cashcards for all services.
  • Financial Controls Compliance: Ensure adherence to the Organisations Internal Financial controls regarding purchasing, and authorisation of expenditure.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial returns of income and expenditure for cost centres and funding agencies as required.
  • Bi-weekly Financial Updates: Ensure accurate bi-weekly Financial reporting of issues to the Head of Finance to support the work plan of the Finance department.
  • Annual Financial Audit Assistance: Assist with the annual financial audit of the organisation.
