Community Support Coordinator

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Community Support Coordinator to play a key role in the delivery and enhancement of person-centered, community-based services that promote active citizenship.

  • Enable individuals to participate in chosen activities, encompassing education, employment, sports, and social or recreational pursuits.
  • Support service-users in various programmes and community settings.
  • Identify opportunities for building people's natural support networks and social roles.

The successful applicant will have a relevant Third Level Qualification and minimum three years' experience supporting adults with an intellectual disability or similar field. Experience in person-centered planning, capacity building, and advocacy is also required.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, teamwork, interpersonal, and organisational skills, as well as the ability to work on their own initiative and be flexible. A natural ability to listen, consider, support, and advocate for people supported by our organisation is essential.

A full clean driving license and use of their own vehicle are necessary for this role.

Key Requirements:
  • Relevant Third Level Qualification (QQ1 Level 6 or higher).
  • Minimum three years' experience supporting adults with an intellectual disability or similar field.
  • Experience in person-centered planning, capacity building, and advocacy.
