Supply Chain Management Professional

This critical role involves optimizing the core of our logistics operations by combining analytical expertise with hands-on experience across freight forwarding and data systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for rate structure systems across our Global Logistics Portfolio.
  • Analyze supplier quotations and manage price components for transportation services, including contract logistics.
  • Monitor and administer rate agreements with logistics suppliers, ensuring timely renewal and accurate charge codes.
  • Manage incoming invoices, validating their structure and data alignment, and ensure accurate formatting and reconciliation.
  • Investigate invoice mismatches and communicate directly with logistics service providers to resolve issues.
  • Coordinate follow-ups with providers to ensure timely receipt of invoices each month.
  • Record and process market-driven pricing for transportation services using internal ticketing and IT systems.
  • Build insightful analytics dashboards to track performance metrics like invoice timeliness and currency fluctuations, in collaboration with management.
  • Lead onboarding sessions and training for new service providers, ensuring a smooth integration into existing workflows.
  • Conduct ad-hoc quantitative analysis leveraging visual tools, algorithm development, and machine learning where applicable.

    Key Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred, with several years of relevant experience.
    • Solid background in freight forwarding and logistics operations, complemented by strong analytical skills.
    • Advantageous: education in accounting with a focus on freight costs and logistics finance.
    • Deep understanding of rate structures and daily freight operations to inform settlement processes.
    • Experience in managing master data for rate management using logistics cost tools or similar systems.
    • Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or comparable platforms is a plus.
    • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
    • Prior experience with SAP freight invoice approvals and third-party freight auditing is essential.
