Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to lead our road improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of road improvement works, ensuring timely project delivery.
  • Conduct site inspections, surveys, and oversee daily activities.
  • Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and construction details.
  • Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental requirements.
  • Monitor progress and prepare reports for senior engineers and project managers.
  • Resolve technical issues on-site and provide innovative engineering solutions.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 25 years experience in a similar civil engineering role, preferably with road or infrastructure projects.
  • Good knowledge of current standards and regulations in civil engineering and roadworks.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or other relevant design software is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Full clean driver's license.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with Irish construction standards and road authority requirements.
  • Experience working on public works contracts or with local authorities.
