Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to provide agency work in Longford and Mullingar.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments and individual therapy with clients, establishing appropriate contracts and maintaining an assigned caseload.
  • Manage clinical governance issues, bringing them to the attention of the Coordinator as necessary.
  • Effectively communicate with team members, professionals, and clients to ensure an integrated service provision and facilitate referrals as needed.
  • Maintain accurate client records, databases, and statistics in accordance with HSE requirements and local guidelines.
  • Engage in Case Management Supervision, team meetings, external supervision, and continuing professional development initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in conducting assessments and providing one-to-one therapy for a range of client issues.
  • Experience in providing therapy in short- and long-term contracts.
  • Knowledge and experience in managing risk issues and working with child protection requirements.
  • Proficiency in using IT to support counselling work, including record keeping.
  • Holding a qualification at Level 7 or higher on the QQI framework in a human science discipline (medical, psychological, social, educational) or a health and social care profession.
  • A full driving license and access to a car are desirable.
  • Residency in Ireland and legal right to work without restriction.
  • All candidates will undergo Garda Vetting, and International Police Clearance may be required if lived outside of Ireland for more than six months after the age of 16.
