Procurement Specialist Role

In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in driving efficient material procurement and strategic planning for cutting-edge products.

This dynamic position involves sourcing electronic components, managing purchase orders, forecasting material needs, and collaborating with production and R&D teams to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and alignment with sustainability objectives.

You will be responsible for building strong supplier relationships, ensuring contract compliance, and identifying cost-saving opportunities using tools like Should Cost and Benchmarking. Additionally, you will align sourcing strategies with sustainability goals and support Value Added Engineering (VAVE) initiatives to enhance product value and efficiency.

The successful candidate will work closely with quality teams to ensure all materials meet strict standards and resolve any supply issues promptly. They will also leverage data to enhance purchasing decisions, forecast accuracy, and track sustainability and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has proven experience in the procurement of electronic components within a manufacturing or electronics environment.
  • Has strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Has experience in material forecasting and inventory management.
  • Has excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Is familiar with local compliance and regulatory requirements for Ireland.
