Job Overview

Lead a team of finance professionals and contribute to the management of financial operations in a dynamic environment. The role involves overseeing key processes, developing staff, and collaborating with senior stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining accurate and compliant financial information;
  • Coordinating and implementing month-end accounts procedures;
  • Developing and managing monthly management accounts to meet strict deadlines;
  • Improving the month-end close process for efficiency and effectiveness;
  • Leading the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts;
  • Overseeing year-end accounts completion and audit coordination;
  • Participating in regular meetings with the Finance Director to discuss financial performance and address key issues;
  • Collaborating with Heads of Departments and the Managing Partner to review departmental financial performance;
  • Business partnering with business services departments to analyze costs and inform strategic decisions;
  • Implementing audit recommendations and monitoring ongoing compliance;
  • Reviewing and approving financial statements according to accounting standards and legislation;
  • Undertaking additional tasks as required by management.

Team Leadership
  • Managing and developing the Financial Reporting team, including training and mentoring staff;
  • Reviewing work performed by the team and providing constructive feedback;
  • Conducting regular performance appraisals and contributing to employee development.

About You
  • ACA or ACCA qualification, preferably with 5+ years' experience in a management position;
  • Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders;
  • Able to recognize limitations and seek guidance when necessary;
  • Advanced analytical skills, facilitating research, problem-solving, and decision-making;
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines;
  • Intermediate-advanced Excel user skills.
