Project Development Specialist

We are seeking a Project Development Specialist to join our Engineering Project Delivery team in Cork. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting project scoping, commissioning, qualification, validation and start-up operations at the pharmaceutical manufacturing site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the delivery of engineering projects on time, on budget and in accordance with all project and business safety and quality goals.
  • Scope new engineering projects and secure capital approval.
  • Lead, support and participate in commissioning and qualification activities for current and future projects.
  • Update and influence management and project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the participation of specialist trades and specialist departments.
  • Coordinate interfaces with third parties, such as suppliers, customers and service providers.
  • Coordinate project documentation.
  • Manage project schedules and resources.
  • Provide project progress reports and risk management updates.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Engineering, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or Science is required.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience of delivering engineering projects within a GMP regulated environment.
  • Qualification in Project Management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience of working with business systems, such as SAP and LIM's.
  • Training in problem-solving methodologies, such as 6-Sigma or Kepner-Tregoe.
  • Experience of working in an engineering team in a multinational corporate environment.
