Activity Coordinator Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Activity Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and make a positive impact on the lives of our residents.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents. This includes organizing events, meetings, and one-to-one sessions, as well as ensuring that all activities are inclusive and accessible.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Organizing and leading activities such as arts and crafts, exercise classes, and entertainment events;
  • Meeting with residents to understand their preferences and interests;
  • Consulting with residents to develop and implement personalized activity plans;
  • Working closely with other members of the care team to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or equivalent;
  • Previous experience working in a care setting, preferably as an activity assistant or coordinator;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • A can-do problem-solving attitude and organisational skills.
