Production Manager

We are currently seeking a Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations in County Kerry. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires the ability to manage production output, maintain a safe work environment, and ensure high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage shift production output to meet company policies and product specifications.
  • Maintain a safe work environment in line with company and Irish safety regulations.
  • Oversee production machines, including troubleshooting, fine-tuning, and performing mold changeovers.
  • Ensure high-quality, high-volume, low-cost production with tight margins.
  • Supervise, motivate, and develop operatives; provide training and performance appraisals.
  • Maximize output without compromising quality.
  • Enforce hygiene and cleanroom standards.
  • Plan and organize cost-effective production; ensure timely and accurate paperwork completion.
  • Monitor product quality, reject levels, operator performance, and material availability.
  • Conduct effective shift handovers.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship (mechanical/electrical/engineering).
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing supervisory role.
  • Familiarity with injection moulding and machine maintenance preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of safety and quality standards.
  • Experience training and managing teams in a production setting.
