About Us

We are seeking an experienced Ecological Consultant to lead our team in Ireland and shape the future of ecology. As a senior ecologist, you will be responsible for leading high-impact ecological projects across various sectors.

This is a senior-level opportunity to drive national-scale ecological consultancy and develop a growing team. You will have the chance to collaborate with experts from different fields, including renewables, transport, and conservation.

Our ideal candidate will have at least 6 years' experience in ecological consultancy or a related field. They will have a strong track record of leading complex, multi-sector ecological projects and possess a deep understanding of Irish and EU environmental legislation and planning frameworks.

The successful candidate will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strategic mindset, and confidence managing multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholder relationships. Additionally, they will have experience mentoring junior staff and supporting team development.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical delivery and mentor emerging talent
  • Shaping strategic growth into nature-based solutions, restoration, and climate-resilient ecological planning
  • Oversee complex assessments (EcIA, NIS, AA Screening, EIAR) and surveys, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams

Your Requirements

  • At least 6 years' experience in ecological consultancy or a related field
  • Strong track record of leading complex, multi-sector ecological projects
  • Deep understanding of Irish and EU environmental legislation and planning frameworks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence managing multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholder relationships
  • Experience mentoring junior staff and supporting team development
