As a Senior Ecologist, you will be responsible for managing ecology contracts and delivering high-quality consultancy services. You will provide ecological input into various projects, including wind farms, road schemes, and commercial developments.

- Provide ecological input into a range of projects including wind farms, road schemes, and commercial developments.
- Conduct and oversee ecological fieldwork and species/habitat surveys.
- Prepare and review Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs).
- Lead the preparation of Appropriate Assessments (AA), Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA), and Biodiversity chapters for EIARs.
- Write and review detailed technical reports.
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of deliverables.
- Represent the company as an expert witness at Oral Hearings.
- Engage with clients and multi-disciplinary teams on project planning and design.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Ecology or a related discipline and minimum 4/5 years' relevant post-graduate experience in consultancy. They will also possess strong technical report writing and project management skills, as well as in-depth knowledge of Irish wildlife and conservation legislation.
Essential Criteria:- Degree in Ecology or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4/5 years' relevant post-graduate experience in consultancy.
- Full membership (or eligibility) of CIEEM, CIWEM, or a similar professional body.
- Strong technical report writing and project management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of Irish wildlife and conservation legislation.
- Demonstrated experience in CEMP preparation and implementation.
- Exposure to a diverse and growing project portfolio.
