Global Procurement Category Lead – Software & Hosting

This role focuses on overseeing assigned software and hosting sub-categories within the Global Technology space.

The successful candidate will act as a subject matter authority, providing strategic leadership to ensure cost-efficient and highly customized global agreements with leading technology providers.

The scope of this role will extend to supporting the IT Services category, enabling effective and mutually beneficial conditions for the company through contract negotiations and supplier relationship management (SRM) with vendors.

As part of a team handling a multi-billion USD annual spend, this is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in large-scale technology procurement to take the next step and own assigned category strategy from creation to implementation.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deploy Global Strategic Procurement plans; interact with key collaborators, analyze category data and metrics to drive end-to-end category management practices in line with functional strategies.
  • Engage internal partners, lead external technology suppliers, and industry experts to develop and deploy global and regional strategies.
  • Enforce current processes and recommend improvements to standard processes, focusing on cost optimization, quality, and service levels.
  • Manage high-value contracts and vendors on a global level, ensuring service reliability, supplier performance, and continuous improvement initiatives are met.

Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in global procurement of Technology (ideally Software & Hosting) or account management/sales in an IT/Technology multinational.
  • Knowledge of trends in the tech industry and marketplaces for services; experience translating trends into compelling strategies.
  • Validated experience building effective internal and external partner relationships that yield long-term value.
  • Deep understanding of pricing and pricing models in different global geographies/markets.
  • Experience crafting complex business cases, financial models, projections, and metrics.
  • Critical thinking, strong analytical, and negotiation skills; ability to develop, plan, and execute strategies with senior partners.
  • Native or fluent English (minimum C1).
