Job Overview

The Field Service Technician is responsible for servicing and installing farm/dairy systems. This role requires self-motivation, organizational skills, and a willingness to travel within Galway and Mayo.

A huge focus is placed on quality and customer service. Experience is desirable but full training and support will be provided.

Key Qualifications
  • Level 6 Diploma or relevant technical certification/trade in a mechanical, electrical, or related field is desirable.
  • A full, clean driving licence is essential for this role.
  • Field and service work experience in the agricultural industry is required.
  • Excellent technical and mechanical knowledge is essential.
  • Problem-solving skills with a solutions-driven approach are necessary.
  • Attention to detail is crucial for this role.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules is required.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills are essential for the role.
  • Good communication and IT skills, fluent in English, are demonstrated through excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Confident and commercially aware individuals are preferred.
  • Agricultural knowledge and background, particularly in the dairy sector, is desired.
Responsibilities
  • Installation and servicing of farming/dairy equipment.
  • Ensuring machine installations meet the highest standards.
  • Providing excellent customer support through on-call service with the service team.
  • Identifying and troubleshooting issues on site in a timely and effective manner.
  • Planning and scheduling farm installations.
  • Organizing and managing the servicing of machines.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues both on site and over the phone.
  • Cooperating with the technical team and sharing information across the organization.
  • Building a good relationship with new and active customers.
  • Identifying and reacting to customer needs and giving feedback on customer requirements.
  • Ensuring installations and service records are kept through the CRM system.
  • Managing inventory of spares and consumables in the service van.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to all health and safety rules and procedures.
