Field Service Technician Job Description

The role of the Field Service Technician is to provide installation and servicing of equipment on farms throughout Ireland. This will involve working independently and as part of a team to ensure that all installations are carried out to the highest standard.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Installation and servicing of equipment
  • Ensuring machine installations meet quality standards
  • Providing excellent customer support through JFC's on-call service with the Service Team
  • Identifying and troubleshooting issues on site in a timely and effective manner
  • Planning and scheduling farm installations
  • Organising and managing the servicing of machines
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues both on site and over the phone
  • Cooperating with the Technical Team and sharing information across the organisation

Desirable skills and qualifications include:

  • A level 6 diploma or relevant technical certification/trade in a mechanical, electrical, or related field
  • Full clean driving license
  • Excellent technical and mechanical knowledge
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules
  • Strong technical, troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication and IT skills
