The Clinical Nurse Manager role is a leadership position within the Endoscopy unit, responsible for ensuring the provision of safe and efficient services to patients and colleagues.

Job Description:

The Clinical Nurse Manager oversees the coordination and management of activity and resources within the Endoscopy unit. This involves managing patient care, providing professional and clinical leadership, and facilitating coordination and cooperation across healthcare teams.

This role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to lead and motivate staff.

  • Manage patient care to ensure the highest professional standards using an evidence-based approach.
  • Provide a high level of professional and clinical leadership to the endoscopy team.
  • Ensure the delivery of safe and comprehensive nursing care to service users within established guidelines.
  • Participate in teams and meetings as appropriate, communicating effectively with other team members.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration within the Endoscopy unit.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A registered general nurse qualification from the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
  • At least 2 years' experience in a management role within a busy endoscopy service.
  • Previous experience in a private healthcare setting would be advantageous.
  • Experience with JAG accreditation would be desirable.
