Job Title

Enable Ireland is seeking a Support Worker to provide individualized services to children with disabilities who attend the School of the Divine Child.

Job Description

The Support Worker will work as part of a dedicated and innovative team to provide personalized care and support to children with disabilities. This will involve working closely with the child, their family, and other professionals to develop and implement a plan that meets the child's unique needs and goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing personal care and support to children with disabilities
  • Assisting children with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Supporting children with mealtime routines and ensuring their nutritional needs are met
  • Engaging in activities that promote social interaction and community integration

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A qualification in Social Care or a related field (QQI Level 5 Major Award)
  • Experience of supporting people with disabilities
  • Experience of working with people with behaviors of concern
  • Basic IT skills
