Manufacturing Engineer Job Description

The role of Manufacturing Engineer plays a pivotal part in ensuring the seamless integration of production processes. This individual will be responsible for providing engineering support to internal teams and external partners, while contributing to process planning and design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Offer technical assistance to internal production teams and external suppliers.
  • Contribute to process planning and design to guarantee a smooth production workflow.
  • Oversee prototype manufacture and validation, ensuring compliance with specifications and scalability for large-scale production.
  • Implement improvements to machinery, processes, and methods to boost efficiency and productivity.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce operational costs while enhancing delivery performance.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and methodologies. They should be proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar) for process and tooling design.

Candidate Profile
  • Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Lean Six Sigma training or certification (Green Belt or higher preferred).
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems; hands-on implementation experience is an asset.
  • 2-5 years' experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering role.

A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation is essential for this position. The successful candidate will work effectively with cross-functional teams and possess strong documentation and communication skills.
