Job Title: Senior Design Lead

We are seeking an experienced senior design professional to lead our in-house design team.

  • Develop and oversee design programs ensuring alignment with client contractual agreements.
  • Handle all technical aspects of the business addressing both internal and external queries.
  • Collaborate with the estimating team to provide technical expertise and value engineering during the tender process.
  • Partner with the Production Manager to ensure manufacturing information meets production requirements and drive process improvements where needed.
  • Lead and manage the in-house design team setting clear targets and tracking progress.
  • Foster and maintain strong lasting relationships with key customers across Ireland.
  • Ensure all design activities comply with relevant regulations standards and best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with client design teams and external consultants on active projects.
  • Work closely with site teams to address and resolve project-related queries.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in timber frame or modular construction design.
  • Skilled in using AutoCAD software for design and drafting tasks.
  • Strong experience leading a design team having exposure to offering support and advice to lower level/junior staff and ensuring projects/targets are being met.
  • Familiarity with Digital Project Delivery principles is an advantage.
  • Capable of producing detailed drawings for both new and existing projects.
  • Strong ability to interpret and work with architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
  • Highly motivated enthusiastic and proactive in approach.
