Job Title

We are currently recruiting a Mechanical Construction Manager for a leading services contractor on a pharmaceutical project.

  • Safety Leadership: Lead and support site safety in collaboration with the safety and project teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Quality Assurance: Manage site quality assurance with input from the QA Manager, maintaining high levels of quality throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Schedule Management: Assist in maintaining and tracking the project schedule, ensuring timely completion and effective resource allocation.
  • Cost Control: Oversee and control project costs including labour, materials, plant and variations, achieving budget targets and optimizing financial performance.
  • Site Operations: Supervise day-to-day site operations and ensure progress aligns with project goals, leveraging expertise to drive business success.
  • Team Management: Manage the on-site team and coordinate across all disciplines, promoting collaboration and effective communication.
  • Subcontractor Management: Monitor subcontractor performance, progress and manpower levels, driving productivity and efficiency improvements.
  • Weekly Coordination: Conduct weekly coordination meetings with subcontractors and package leads, fostering open dialogue and resolving issues promptly.
  • Snagging and Punch Lists: Manage snagging and punch lists in support of QA/QC, ensuring defect-free delivery and minimizing rework.
  • Labour Reporting: Report labour hours for direct staff and subcontractors, providing accurate data for informed decision-making.
  • Site Meetings and Reviews: Lead site meetings and reviews throughout the project lifecycle, driving issue resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Project Close-Out: Support project close-out including documentation, handover and resource relocation, ensuring seamless transition and minimizing downtime.
