Job Title: Executive Chef Assistant

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated chef to join our dynamic kitchen team in Kildare. The role of Sous Chef provides the ideal platform for career progression, supporting the Head Chef in delivering exceptional culinary experiences.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, assisting with menu planning and seasonal dish development, as well as supervising and training junior chefs to maintain consistent standards across all sections.

  • Support the Head Chef in managing kitchen day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless service delivery and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with menu planning and seasonal dish development, incorporating fresh produce and innovative techniques to create engaging dining experiences.
  • Supervise and train junior chefs, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality throughout the kitchen.
  • Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships, ensuring effective inventory management and cost control.
  • Maintain strict adherence to health and safety protocols, including HACCP compliance, to guarantee a safe working environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Prior experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a reputable establishment.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage a team under pressure.
  • Creative flair and a passion for using fresh, seasonal produce to create engaging menus.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with the wider team.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and a strong understanding of kitchen safety procedures.
