The CCPC's Digital & Data Regulation Division is responsible for regulating digital and data markets. The division engages with industry, cooperates with other authorities, and works to ensure user safety, protect fundamental rights, and create a fair online platform environment.

Role Overview:

The Deputy Director will report to the Director and oversee the Digital Markets and Platforms Unit. This is an opportunity for a high-calibre senior manager to lead the establishment of the new team, develop processes and procedures, and implement and enforce laws related to digital regulation.

You will work closely with the Director and other Deputy Directors to establish the division and develop its strategic direction. You will also collaborate with industry stakeholders, including large multinationals, and other authorities operating at national, EU, and international levels.

Requirements:
  • Relevant Level 8 or above third-level qualification in law, regulation, compliance, or economics, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 4 years of comparable professional experience in a regulatory, civil enforcement, or investigation environment.
  • Strong planning/project management skills and demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams.
  • Demonstrated experience of delivering results in a challenging environment and excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in the digital markets economy, either through online platforms, online marketplaces, or other equivalent sectors.
