Key Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Lead survey programmes and deliver technical reports aligned with Irish planning law">
  • Manage small to mid-sized projects and guide junior ecologists">
  • Contribute to tender writing, service development, and cross-disciplinary collaboration">
  • Produce ecological impact assessments and technical reports">
  • Work effectively with clients and stakeholders">
  • Mentor and support junior staff">
  • Develop and maintain expertise in Irish flora and fauna">

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • ">
  • Third-level qualification in Ecology, Environmental Science, Zoology, Botany, or related field">
  • 3–5+ years of experience in ecological consultancy or similar">
  • Strong field survey skills and working knowledge of Irish flora and fauna">
  • Experience producing ecological impact assessments and technical reports aligned with Irish planning law">
  • Good understanding of Irish and EU legislation">
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)">
  • Ability to manage projects independently (budgets, schedules, client relationships)">
  • Full clean EU driving licence and willingness to travel for fieldwork">
