Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Intervention Specialist to join our team. As an Intervention Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing and developing support programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities who exhibit challenging behaviors.

Your primary goal will be to create personalized plans that promote positive outcomes and enhance the quality of life for these individuals.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to identify proactive strategies, adaptations, and preventative measures that address complex issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessing individual needs and developing comprehensive intervention plans
  • Collaborating with teams to design and implement evidence-based practices
  • Providing training and education to staff on best practices in intellectual disability support
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant changes and advancements in the field
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a PBS Specialist role within a disability organization
  • Extensive experience in carrying out comprehensive behavioral assessments and developing multi-element behavior support plans
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of an inter-disciplinary team
