
Positive Intervention Lead

We are seeking a Behaviour Support Specialist to provide comprehensive support programmes for individuals with intellectual disabilities and challenging behaviours.
- This specialist will be responsible for the assessment, development, and implementation of Positive Behaviour Support Plans using a person-centred approach.
- The Behaviour Support Specialist will need to stay up-to-date with best practices in the field of intellectual disability and drive evidence-based practice.
- Develop and implement proactive strategies, adaptations, and preventative measures as part of Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
- Provide ongoing monitoring and evaluation of interventions and plans using a range of tools to ensure effectiveness.
- Deliver training packages in various areas and approaches required by individual support plans.
- Offer on-the-ground support to frontline managers, staff teams, and families in translating training into action.
- Participate in regular team and external meetings.
- A degree in Psychology or a related field.
- A minimum of one year's experience working as a PBS Specialist in a disability organisation providing PBS services.
- Extensive clinical experience conducting Comprehensive Behavioural Assessments and developing Multi-element Behaviour Support Plans.
- Experience designing and delivering training packages to staff and families.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an inter-disciplinary team.
- A full clean driving license and access to a car.
