Merchandising Role Overview

We're seeking an ambitious Merchandiser to join our dynamic team. This exciting opportunity involves shaping and executing merchandising strategies for concept areas.

As a key member, you'll lead the planning and buying process, manage stock and product intake, and maximise profitability through business KPIs.

You'll collaborate closely with the Buying & Merchandising team to drive sales, increase margins, and achieve commercial success. Additionally, you'll support the growth and development of junior team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Open to Buy Process:
    • Contribute to future Buying Strategies based on detailed range analytics.
    • Manage Quarterly OTB Budgets, analysing product sales to ensure efficient space usage.
    • Presentation of OTB Summaries and forward sales plans at quarterly Brand sign offs.
    • Cross-Concept Reporting and Daily Business process management.
  • Stock Management:
    • Monitor company stock position to achieve profitability targets.
    • Control order books and future commitments in line with business targets.
    • In-season stock commitments based on current sales trends.
    • Action weekly and seasonal price events.
  • Other:
    • Provide insights on trading performance, recommending actions to capitalise on opportunities and minimise risks.
    • Develop relationships with logistics partners, brands, and internal stakeholders.
    • Production of ad hoc sales analysis to support business decision-making.
    • Preparation and distribution of core business reports.
    • Collaborate with the IT function to make recommendations on reporting and system upgrades.
    • Regular store visits to receive feedback on driving sales.
    • Management and development of junior team members.
Requirements
  • A minimum 3 years' experience in a Fashion or Sports Retail Omni-Channel Environment.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, BI tools, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong numeric, data/analytical, financial, and organisational skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
