
Heavy Goods Vehicle Maintenance Specialist

As a truck technician, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean workspace in a fast-paced environment.
Key tasks include servicing and maintaining a fleet of hook loaders & skip trucks, performing road testing and quality control inspections as required, and carrying out the full cycle of diagnosis, repairs, maintenance, servicing, pre-test work to a high standard in various vehicles.
You will also utilize technologies and hardware provided for monitoring vehicle issues, including Assetminder, and perform incidental welding operations under pressure to tight deadlines.
Additionally, you will comply with all company policies and initiatives to ensure safe and efficient operation within the business, work collaboratively with colleagues and customers to maintain good working relationships, complete job-related paperwork in line with industry standards, and participate in training and development programs as needed.
The ideal candidate will possess a qualified heavy goods vehicle mechanic qualification, a high degree of product and technical knowledge, three years' experience in a relevant discipline, and proficiency in the English language. A 'can do' work ethic with excellent problem-solving skills is essential.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Service and maintain a fleet of hook loaders & skip trucks
- Carry out road testing and quality control inspections as required
- Carry out the full cycle of diagnosis, repairs, maintenance, servicing, pre-test work to a high standard in a range of HGVs, PSVs, LCVs, RCVs
- Use technologies and hardware as provided for monitoring vehicle issues, including the use of Assetminder
- Perform incidental Welding operations
- Work under pressure to tight deadlines
