Job Summary:

This is a unique opportunity to work in a luxury environment as Assistant Night Manager. The role involves ensuring exceptional guest experiences and maintaining the highest standards of quality and service.

About the Role:
  • The Assistant Night Manager will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of hotel services during night shifts, ensuring guest satisfaction and safety at all times.
  • To achieve this, the candidate must have excellent communication skills, an analytic mindset, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure the hotel achieves high levels of customer satisfaction through efficient delivery of luxury services.
  2. Deliver exceptional care to guests by providing a warm welcome, addressing their needs promptly, and ensuring their requirements are met throughout their stay.
  3. Carry out departmental audits to guarantee that team members adhere to luxury standards and company policies.
  4. Communicate the hotel's vision and mission statement to the team, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  5. Maintain cleanliness and organization in areas of responsibility, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  6. Control ambient conditions in departments (lights, music, temperature) to create a comfortable atmosphere for guests.
  7. Report defective materials and equipment to the relevant departments, ensuring timely resolution.
  8. Implement new initiatives within agreed timeframes, driving continuous improvement and growth.
  9. Attend meetings as required, contributing to strategic discussions and decision-making.
  10. Ensure the night porter/cleaners complete their daily tasks efficiently, promoting a seamless guest experience.
  11. Train team members in new tasks, upskilling them to meet evolving demands and expectations.
  12. Maintain management presence in all departments, fostering a sense of accountability and commitment to excellence.
  13. Ensure a consistently high level of security is maintained throughout the hotel, safeguarding guests and staff.
  14. Act upon guest feedback in a timely manner, informing relevant parties and taking necessary actions to prevent recurrence.
  15. Drive departmental sales in line with hotel targets, promoting revenue growth and profitability.
  16. Adopt flexible work schedules as necessary, ensuring uninterrupted service to guests and maintaining flexibility within teams.
  17. Provide support in other areas of the hotel as required, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to learn.
  18. Deputize for the Night Manager in their absence, taking responsibility for hotel operations during night shifts.
  19. Comply with cash handling procedures, training team members accordingly to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  20. Conduct full night audits efficiently, reconciling cash on a daily basis for the entire department.
  21. Distribute reports to all departments, keeping stakeholders informed and engaged.
  22. Stay current with updates on new procedures and training, applying knowledge to improve performance and outcomes.
  23. Report suspicious persons, activities, or hazardous conditions to the Security department and Front Office Manager.
  24. Maintain hotel property and guest safety, upholding the highest standards of integrity and responsibility.
  25. Carry out tasks as Acting Night Manager in the absence of the Night Manager.
